China Steel Corp. (CSC), the largest carbon steel maker in Taiwan is going to release its price policy for March. It’s expected that CSC would hike its list prices by more than NT$300~NT$500/ton, supported by the price rise made by the major steelmakers in China. The Chinese steel giant Baosteel announced to hike its February list prices for its major steel products by RMB100~RMB160/ton. At the same time, Shagang increased its list prices for steel flat products by RMB150~RMB200/ton for January. Affected by these factors, market insiders expected that CSC would hike its list prices by more than NT$300~NT$500/ton for February.
